Adoption of Kildare County Development Plan 2023 - 2029 

At a special meeting of Kildare County Council on 9th December 2022, the Elected Members of Kildare County Council voted to adopt the Kildare County Development Plan 2023 - 2029.

The Kildare County Development Plan 2023 - 2029 takes effect on 28th January 2023.

 

Stages

On 11th January 2021, Kildare County Council gave notice of its intention to review the existing Kildare County Development Plan 2017-2023 and to prepare a new County Development Plan for the period 2023-2029.
The review will take up to two years and will conclude with the adoption of the Kildare County Development Plan 2023-2029 in 2023.

Note; Volume 2 of the Kildare County Development Plan 2023 - 2029 should be read in conjunction with Variations 1, 2, 3 and 4 Variation No.3 has ;

  • Revised zoning maps for Castledermot, Kill, Athgarvan, Ballymore Eustace, Cooleragh-Coill Dubh, Johnstown, Kildangan, Kilmeague, Robertstown, Straffan, Ballyshannon, Kilmead, Two Mile House and Kilcullen.
  • Newtown added as a Rural Settlement
