Kildare Sports & Physical Activity Plan 2026-2031

SpPlanSmallV3

More People, More Active, More Often

Launched in 2026, the Kildare Sports & Physical Activity Plan 2026-2031 provides a shared roadmap for increasing participation in sport and physical activity across County Kildare over the next six years. Developed through extensive consultation with communities, clubs, schools, sporting organisations and public agencies, the plan aims to create more opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to lead active, healthy lives.

Built around three core Strategic Themes - Active People & Communities, Active Spaces & Places, and Active Communications & Partnerships - this plan brings together partners from across the county around 43 strategic actions that will support greater participation, improve facilities and active environments, strengthen community capacity, and encourage collaboration to help make physical activity a natural part of everyday life in Kildare.
