Kildare County Council launches Pride of Place 2024 applications.

 

Kildare County Council Selection Process Guidelines & Expression of Interest Form

Kildare County Council Invites expressions of interest from local community groups who wish to be nominated to the 2024 IPB Pride of Place Competition in association with Co-Operation Ireland.

Note: As Kildare County Council may make nominations to the National Pride of Place Competition on a town/village basis, applications received from different groups in the same town/village may be judged as one.

Closing date for applications is Tuesday April 23rd, 2024.

Application and Judging Process

The application and judging process is as follows:

  • An Expression of Interest and Submission Form must be submitted together with an entry photograph before the local closing date Tuesday April 23rd, 2024 https://submit.link/2zp
  • The expression of interest will be assessed internally in accordance with the national judging criteria and County Kildare of Place winners will then be selected.
  • Applicants will be informed as to whether they have been selected to compete at 2024 IPB Pride of Place Competition before Friday 3rd May 2024.
  • The County Kildare Pride of Place winners will receive a cash prize of €1000 towards their work and/or expenses related to entering the competition and attending the Award Ceremony. They will also be entered into the national competition by the national closing date of 10th May 2024 and further details on their entry will be submitted before the next stage of the process which closes on 7th June 2024.
  • The IPB Pride of Place judging season takes place from July-September 2024 and takes the form of an in-person presentation on tour.
  • The Kildare Pride of Place Liaison Officer who will assist the County Kildare Pride of Place applicants with the application and judging process is Ms. Carmel Cashin 0877212966 ccashin@kildarecoco.ie

National Winners, runners-up and special award recipients will receive a trophy and a small monetary prize at a national awards ceremony (this is normally held annually in November).
